Daniel RidingAs always with fashion, there is an opportunity to give back and do some good in the world. That’s why Pharrell’s latest collaboration has got us respecting him even more. He has announced that along with Bionic Yarn and G-Star Raw, they will launch a project called ‘Raw For The Oceans’ which looks to take all plastic from the oceans, and turnit into something that can be used positively instead of polluting our oceans.
This is no small deal or project because they have multiple partners that utilise many of the top scientists, ocean experts and researchers to make this launch a huge success. The plastic that will be collected from the ocean will be spun into yarn, and then in turn it will be used to create denim products which are coincidentally designed by Pharrell himself.
Of this new venture Pharrell has said: “I like to make people happy, If we do what we’re supposed to do then everyone can be happy.”
